The Event Carbon Footprint Calculator allows you to measure the greenhouse gas emissions of your event activities, helping event managers reduce carbon impacts and save money.

The calculator helps organisers plan a low carbon event by highlighting the main impacts of an event and helping to identify and prioritise actions to avoid and reduce those impacts.

This is a good start to self calculating your Event Carbon footprint. It uses the major components of an event to calculate the main carbon impact of your event. It certainly gives people an idea of their carbon impact, however it is a fairly basic guide and doesn't cover the full gamut or components of calculating carbon emissions, even if these are an estimate. As a business we provide services to events and aim to be able to provide our carbon footprint from providing services for an event. However, in this tool it provides no capacity or options on how to deal suppliers and what they should provide to calculate the carbon emissions for your event. Summary: More work needs to be done on this tool to expand for business, but otherwise a helpful tool to self calculate your carbon impact of your event.
