How important is Home Insulation in reducing carbon pollution?
If the power generation industries produce the most carbon pollution, wouldn't it make sense to minimize all common energy uses, and therefore have the greatest impact on cutting pollution?
Is it true that a properly insulated building substantially reduces energy consumption in heating and cooling?

The Australian Government recently funded a home insulation program, the New Zealand Government still does. These programs would not be funded without substantial evidence in their favour. Logic also supports that a well insulated building will minimise heat 'escape' in the winter, and 'penetration' in the summer.
Insulation is definitely a frontline attack on pollution created by power generation.
