Draught-proofing windows and doors
Install draught seals around your windows and doors
Why
On average, heating and cooling accounts for 36% of energy use in small to medium businesses. Letting draughts in from outside means your heating and cooling systems need to work harder to maintain a desired temperature. Sealing these draughts will save energy and make your workplace more comfortable.
How
There are many products on the market which can be directly retrofitted to existing windows and doors. Most are available at your local hardware store or can be purchased online. Attach a draught seal along the bottom of both external and internal doors and run adhesive weather strips around window and door frames to eliminate draughts. These simple applications are easy enough to do yourself and don't require any special tools or expertise.
