Collect one-sided paper for future use
Paper printed on only one side may be used for draft documents that do not require virgin office paper or as note pads. The less paper being used unnecessarily, the more money and carbon can be saved.
Why
Collecting one-sided paper for future use reduces paper costs and associated biodiversity loss from paper consumption.
How
Place boxes near printers to collect one-sided paper for reuse in printers bypass trays or in notepads.
How we calculate this
Implementing this action can save 10% of a business's paper usage which equals 20.1 reams of paper per year. Each ream of paper weighs approximately 2.5kgs and for every kg of paper saved, 1.867 kg CO2-e is saved. (20.16 X 2.5 X 1.867 = 94.1kgCO2-e)
