About

The EcoCentre is a not-for-profit organisation providing information and services to individuals to help them live more sustainably and to business to help them operate more sustainably. Any profits from its work go back into sustainable education projects at schools and into helping disadvantaged people in the community live more sustainably.

Sustainable business practices

In order to demonstrate what can be done, we have converted our offices from a 1-star to a 5 star (soon 6 star) energy-efficient building. We use double-glazing, door-, floor- & roof-insulation, solar power, solar hot water, worm-powered sewerage systems and worm farm composting (we produce no waste). We have converted our lawns and flower beds into vegetable gardens. Our premises are used for tours for schools, businesses and residents.
